Sarah Mason Sarah qualified as a Dental Surgery Assistant in 1993, having trained at Matthew Boulton College for two years. She has worked with Mr John Newland as his nurse since 1991. Sarah has furthered her dental knowledge by recieving specialised training as a Dental Implant Nurse. In April of last year Sarah became Practice Administrator, although she still works part of the week in surgery, her new role sees her in the reception area more.
Julie Meaden Julie has been a qualified Dental Surgery Assistant for 17 years. She worked with Mr Marek Skalka as his nurse for 16 years when she left to have her first baby Jamie, who is now 2. Julie returned to work with us last year part time and although she still works occasionally in surgery with Marek her role has changed slightly, she now works more as a member of the reception team. Julie is expecting her second baby in July, but we hope to see her back with us in 2009.
Penny Kirwan Penny has 36 years experience in the dental profession. She qualified as a Dental Nurse in 1978 in Coventry. For 20 years Penny worked at the University of Warwick Dental Department before moving to a busy NHS practice in Coventry. She has enjoyed working with Mr Marek Skalka for the last two years. Penny currently has the role of training our Dental Nurse trainee Hannah.
Martell Bailey Martell has been nursing for Mr Skalka and Mr Newland since leaving school in 2005. She qualified as a Dental nurse in February 2007. Since qualifying Martell has extended her dental knowledge by training as a Dental Implant Nurse. She works in surgery with both dentists during the week as well as being a member of our Reception Team.
Liz Purchase Liz is a qualified Dental Nurse, having qualified in Birmingham in 1983. She has gained a mass of dental experience by working in a busy NHS practice for 25 years. Liz works principally as a member of the Reception Team but also fulfils duties in Human Resources and is our Compliments, Complaints and Comments Procedure Manager. Liz is married with two children and in her spare time enjoys socialising and going to the gym.
Hannah Jones Hannah is a Trainee Dental Nurse/Receptionist. She has been with us since April 2007 and is currently studying hard for the National Certificate for Dental Surgery Assistants. Prior to working with us Hannah worked in a busy NHS dental practice for 12 months. Hannah is becoming a very competent nurse in surgery under the guidance of Penny and also works efficiently as a member of the Reception Team.
Rona Weatherson Rona has recently joined our Reception team. She worked with John and Marek for 13 years at the previous practice and we are absolutely delighted that she has decided to join us at Blossomfield Complete Dental Care. Rona is a very experienced receptionist who welcomes everyone with a friendly and professional manner. Rona is married with two grown up sons and a little grand-daughter, Sarah.
