Your team at Blossomfield Complete Dental Care are committed to make dental treatment as affordable as possible.
By introducing our new loyalty scheme Blossomfield Dental Plan (as arranged for us by Denplan), we can freeze all dental charges until January 2011.
Everyone is feeling the effects of the credit crunch! Stress levels are very high and it is at this time you need to look after your general health so that you sail through the recession with a clean bill of health.
Your mouth is the window to the overall health of your body. Early indicators of many diseases are obvious in the mouth and can be detected during routine dental examinations.
There is a growing body of evidence, supported by the British Dental Health Foundation, that there is a systemic link between oral health and overall health. Recent research has linked gum disease to heart disease, heart attacks, strokes, diabetes and, in the case of pregnant women, giving birth to underweight babies. The message is that by keeping gum disease under control you can prevent it from developing into more serious general health conditions.
Preventative dentistry is the future. It is no longer a case of trouble shooting pain or advanced decay. Preventative dentistry is about maintaining good oral health for life!
During a routine dental examination we will:
• Look for evidence of new decay • Check your soft tissues for oral cancers • Discuss with you any areas of sensitivity and discomfort • Assess the stability of existing dental restorations • Examine signs of gum disease and gingivitis • Discuss and advise on your dental hygiene, referring to the hygienist if needed.
Also during the examination you can ask about any cosmetic treatments that are available to you.
We are well aware that dental treatment can be expensive and therefore can be pushed down the list of priorities but as you can see regular examinations and hygiene visits are extremely important, so we would like to help you maintain this level of care in a cost effective way.
