Blossomfield Dental Plan.
The Loyalty Scheme That Is Designed
To Give YOU Peace Of Mind!!
2011 has started with an air of financial uncertainty
and cuts are being made which are
affecting us all. Stress levels are very high and it is at this time you need
to look after your general health so that you can sail through this difficult
period with a clean bill of health.
Your mouth is the window to the overall health of your body.
Early indicators of many diseases are obvious in the mouth and can be detected
during routine dental examinations.
There is a growing body of evidence, supported by the
British Dental Health Foundation, that there is a systemic link between oral
health and overall health. Recent research has linked gum disease to heart
disease, heart attacks, strokes, diabetes and in the case of pregnant women,
giving birth to underweight babies. The message is that by keeping gum disease
under control you can prevent it from developing into more serious general
health conditions.
Preventative dentistry is the future. It is no longer a case
of trouble shooting pain or advanced decay. Preventative dentistry is about
maintaining good oral health for life.
By attending a routine dental examination every six months
any early changes in the mouth can be detected and dealt with quickly and
easily.
A dental examination is not just a "quick look at the
teeth", it is far more thorough than that, it allows John or Marek to;
- Look for
evidence of new decay
- Check your
soft tissues for oral cancers
- Discuss with
you any areas of sensitivity and discomfort
- Assess the
stability of existing dental restorations
- Examine for
signs of gum disease and gingivitis
- Discuss and
advise on your dental hygiene, referring you to the dental hygienist if needed
During the examination you can also ask about any cosmetic
treatments that are available to you. It has been proven that we gain a huge
amount of confidence and self esteem by having a smile that we feel happy with,
it doesn't have to be a perfect "Hollywood Smile", but just small changes can
make a difference .Feel free to ask about the range of cosmetic treatments
available.
We are well aware that dental treatment can be expensive and
therefore can be pushed down the list of priorities but as you can see regular
examinations and hygiene visits are extremely important, so we would like to
help you maintain this level of care in a cost effective way.
